A boutique real estate private equity fund is urgently looking to appoint a recently qualified accountant or equivalent into a newly created fund accountant position working directly with the Finance Director. This is an unrivalled opportunity to join a young and entrepreneurial fund into a newly created role that's come off the back of a successful fund raise. All day to day granular accounting is outsourced with this role focused on a combination of high level review and oversight of the administrator in addition to involvement in deal support and structuring. The firm are still small and growing - 15 people - proving ample opportunity to take on a raft of ad hoc project work too.
The Finance Director is keen to hire someone he can mentor post qualifying with a preference for a candidate who has likely qualified recently in a mid-tier accounting firm or similar. Real estate or property experience isn't essential and full training and support will be provided. You need to of course have a genuine interest in real estate and be willing to work in a small company that will involve some hands on accounting work from time to time. The biggest selling point in the role is undoubtedly the exposure you'll get to the investment team, with the chance to work alongside a highly experienced FD who is keen to pass on his knowledge.
Salary on offer is £50-55,000 depending on experience plus benefits and a very healthy target bonus.
