A global alternative asset manager is urgently seeking an experienced senior fund accountant or fund controller for a newly created role. The business are mainly known in the private equity space and have expanded heavily into Europe over the last few years with around 15 portfolio companies in Western Europe and the UK.
Owing to an internal promotion this is a newly created role reporting into the CFO in a highly outsourced environment. Responsibilities will include all deal support through to fund accounting/reporting (review) and fund operations for a complex multi-billion GBP fund. As per most funds a lot of the basic work is outsourced to various service providers with the value add kept in-house. The role is also likely to include a lot of ad hoc support to the investment and portfolio teams in addition to oversight of various third party relationships.
We're looking for someone who has a background in fund accounting or fund control for closed ended funds - ie: private equity, real estate, credit/debt, infrastructure or similar. Any exposure to Luxembourg SPVs would also be massively advantageous. You'll need formal accounting qualifications and a keen interest in moving to a fast moving and highly diversified business with its fingers in many pies.
Salary on offer is £75-85,000 base in addition to exceptional bonus potential.
