A fast growing pan-European Real Estate Fund Manager is seeking to appoint a commercially minded Fund Controller into a newly created role. With an impressive portfolio of assets, this is a medium sized and well known business that has gone from strength to strength in the past few years, building up a diverse portfolio of real estate assets across the UK and Europe. This role would work on several high profile funds and requires someone with a broad fund accounting and deal support background - ideally from real estate / property although people from similar backgrounds in private equity, debt, infrastructure or similar would be encouraged to apply.
The range of responsibilities will be vast but briefly summed up as:
- Oversight of all fund reporting, fund operations and accounting deliverables (outsourced)
- Treasury, funding and cash management
- Transaction support
- Assisting with investor communications and investor relations
- Debt management
- Involvement in ad hoc projects
Your profile is likely to include:
- Formal qualifications - ACA/CA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA or equivalent - with a background in accounting for open or close ended funds in alternative asset management
- At least 8 to 10 years or equivalent in a similar and broad ranging fund controller role - ideally gained in a fund manager, fund administrator or via relevant funds management clients in Audit
- Strong project management skills; capable of managing multiple deadlines, prioritising accordingly and ensuring work is completed to a high standard
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to build up productive relationships with a range of stakeholders internally and externally
