A global alternative asset manager is urgently seeking an experienced senior fund accountant or fund controller for a newly created 6 to 9 month role. The business are mainly known in the private equity space and have expanded heavily into Europe over the last few years with around 15 chunky assets in Western Europe and the UK.
Owing to an internal promotion they're looking for someone who can backfill a permanent position with the likelihood the role could become permanent within 6 to 9 months. Responsibilities will include all deal support through to fund accounting/reporting and fund operations for a complex multi-billion GBP fund that invests into a wide array of sectors. As per most funds a lot of the basic work is outsourced to various service providers with the value add kept in-house. The role is also likely to include a lot of ad hoc support to the investment and portfolio teams in addition to oversight of various third party relationships.
We're looking for someone who can start by early February latest who has a background in fund accounting or fund control for closed ended funds - ie: private equity, real estate, credit/debt, infrastructure or similar. Any exposure to Luxembourg SPVs would also be massively advantageous. You'll need formal accounting qualifications and are either immediately available or able to start within a couple of weeks.
