A marketing leading global private equity firm is seeking to appoint a commercially minded and driven fund financial controller into a newly created role. With significant assets under management stretching into the billions and a diverse portfolio of investment companies across the UK and Europe, the firm enters 2019 in mint condition having successfully raised and closed a number of new funds throughout 2018.
This is a wide ranging role as you'd expect and will manage a small team of accountants who collectively oversee all accounting, reporting and deal support work for a number of PE funds and structures. You'll be the main point of contact for the investment managers and Partners as well as a host of external advisers and suppliers. The firm has invested heavily in finance and middle office systems and is only lightly outsourced in terms of fund admin, with the need for a true technical expert who can provide leadership, guidance and new ideas to the business.
We're ideally looking for someone with extensive private equity experience on the funds side who has likely been working at finance manager, fund controller, financial controller or head of finance level. You're likely to be from another fund, large accounting firm or fund administration firm with plenty of energy and drive and a keen interest in helping to develop and grow the capabilities of a small team. The CFO is also looking for a person who is happy in a reasonably autonomous role with plenty of scope to develop your commercial and business acumen in a fast paced operating environment.
Salary on offer is circa £75-95K base depending on experience plus a very healthy discretionary bonus.
