A new Group Reporting Accountant role with an A-rated Global Specialty Re/insurance business has arisen in their central London office. This position will report to the Head of FP&A and focus on the production and analysis of Management Reports for Group as well as financial consolidation and the production of statutory reports in accordance with US GAAP.

You will be given the opportunity to grow and expand your skills within the role over time. This includes the opportunity to take on more financial planning and analysis duties to make you a well rounded Accountant.

Key duties: 

• Prepare monthly / quarterly Group management reports and analyse the financial results 
• Challenge the different entities for insightful and relevant commentary on the variances between actuals and budgets, combined with underlying drivers 
• Communicate Group reporting timetables and deliverables to all stakeholders 
• Prepare regulatory and statutory requirements relating to all Group financial statements and regulatory reporting 
• Group consolidation and management of the consolidation system (HFM) 
• Liaise with the external auditors 
• Ensure appropriate controls and processes are in place at all times 

About the successful candidate: 

• ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified 
• At least 3 years PQE gained within insurance/reinsurance 
• Ideally have sound knowledge and experience of US GAAP for insurance 
• Proven financial, analytical and organisational capabilities
