Global Bank is currently hiring for a Statutory Reporting Manager to join their Group Finance function based in Milton Keynes. This role will require you to be the office 2 days a week and 3 days remote. This is newly created role for the team and will have a large focus on ESG reporting and also provide exposure to UK, EU and US Reporting so is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional looking to broaden their reporting exposure.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing junior team members, including part-qualified staff, apprentices, graduates and contractors.
  • Key role in producing the UK Annual Reports, Half Yearly Financial Reports, and Q1/Q3 Interims with a focus on populating and reviewing the Financial Statements and Risk review, as well as reviewing other key disclosures, working with preparer teams to ensure that all the data complies with IFRS and other UK and EU disclosure requirements, including Sustainability & Responsible Banking matters such as climate risk and ESG.
  • Producing the US Annual Reports and Half Yearly Financial Reports working with preparer teams to ensure that all the data complies with US SEC disclosure requirements, including Sustainability & Responsible Banking matters such as climate risk and ESG
  • Woking closely with the Technical Accounting team and being able to interpret and implement updates and recommendations to regulatory requirements issued by FRC and DECL.
  • Reviewing the accuracy of the electronic linkages, mappings and other elements of the reporting platform used to prepare the statutory documents.
  • Supporting the Funding team with debt issuances, including reviews of draft prospectuses, and negotiation of engagement, management representation and comfort letters with external auditors, legal counsel and underwriters.
  • Reviewing the Quarterly Management Statements produced and published by Investor Relations.
  • Supporting relationships with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop and improve their input into the statutory reporting processes, including: - senior management, Directors and Executive Committee, broader finance teams, Risk, Investor Relations Legal & Corporate Governance, and External stakeholders (such as auditors and legal counsel)
  • Identifying and implementing improvements, efficiencies and innovations to the statutory reporting process.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Financial Reporting/Control role within the Financial Services Industry (Ideally Banking) or Manager Level Auditor from the Big 4 covering FS Clients - Essential
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with post qualified experience - Essential
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS Reporting and accounting for financial instruments - Essential
  • Good knowledge of Sustainability & Responsible Banking reporting requirements including climate risk and ESG - Highly Desirable
  • Proven process improvement and project skills
