Head of Application Development Required for a leading insurance company in the heart of London.
Our client focuses on global product management with regional underwriting to increase their relevance to clients and broker partners.
As Head of, IT Application Development, you will report to CIO for decision making across the business to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective business application solutions. Key Areas of your responsibilities include:
Planning & Architecture
- Work collaboratively with Business and IT peers (e.g. Regional Heads of IT Business Engagement & Program Delivery, BA/QA Manager) ensuring alignment between business objectives and system development priorities.
- Partner with Regional Heads of IT Business Engagement & Program Delivery and other IT peers to build and deploy solutions with Developers, Build/Release Managers and Solution Architects.
- Directs and drives the Application teams (internal and external) to deliver solutions that meet business requirements, are well architected, well documented and tested.
- Provides coaching, mentoring, and leadership to the team. Develop and grows the existing Application Developers, Solution Architects and Build/Release managers into a highly functioning, efficient, and effective team.
