An international bank is setting up a new team delivering virtual and digital banking products and is looking for a Head of Data Science to lead the design and delivery of analytics solutions. This is a strategic hire responsible for building the Data Science capability and team working closely with business stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing analytics strategies and implementing solutions to support business initiatives. They are ideally looking for candidates from a strong technical background in machine learning with strategic and management experience. You have to be someone who is excited about pushing boundaries and possess a ‘start-up’ mind-set to excel in the role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Building and managing a strong team of data scientists
- Working with business stakeholders on determining business strategies and requirements
- Identifying problems and developing solutions using data science techniques (such as machine learning)
Skills/Experience Required:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Machine Learning / Statistics / Mathematics / Computer Science
- At least 7 years experience working experience in data science
- Proven experience in managing teams and stakeholders
- Strong coding skill sets (R, Python, SQL, etc.)
- Deep experience in machine learning techniques
- Working knowledge of visualisation tools such as Tableau
- Ability to communicate complex insights in an actionable manner
