Responsibilities:

Management and leadership

* Responsibility for all financial elements of the business

* Lead growth and development of finance function as the business scales

* Line management and development of finance team of 5

* Support CFO and CEO on ad hoc strategic initiatives

Financial reporting

* Responsibility for all cyclical financial reporting, including annual budget, management accounts, statutory accounts, corporation tax and VAT returns

* Lead role on biannual external audits

* Responsibility for FCA reporting and maintaining annual ICAAP

* Responsibility for all management and financial reporting

Business partnering

* Finance partner to various business heads on the investment side

* Prepare biannual valuation of Private Equity portfolio investments

* Treasury/Liquidity management

* Monitor adherence to HMRC qualification rules for tax efficient offerings

* Identify and implement enhancements to systems, processes and management information

Candidate profile:

  • Strong academic record and formal accounting qualifications - ACA or CA qualified preferred or equivalent
  • Around 10 years PQE or similar including experience in a business partnering and/or financial reporting role
  • Experience in a small to medium sized company within financial services is essential - a bonus if you're coming from asset or wealth management or alternative investments like private equity
  • Strong team player, independent thinker with gravitas, commercially minded and business savvy
  • Willingness to get stuck in, roll up your sleeves and cover a broad range of responsibilities and tasks

Salary on offer is in the region of £120,000 to £140,000 base plus a healthy discretionary bonus
