A fantastically career enhancing opportunity with a boutique European Private Equity fund. Please note that this is an urgent hire and as such we need someone able to start within 1 month or less.
This is an integral senior hire reporting to the Managing Partner, heading up a small finance team of 2 and working incredibly closely with their portfolio companies. The firm have been around for a number of years with an extensive and diverse investor base and portfolio of highly entrepreneurial and fascinating businesses.
Responsibilities will be vast, as you can imagine, and encompass all aspects of Finance for the funds (investor reporting, valuations, deal support, asset reporting etc) as well as oversight of the 'house' side of finance, management accounts, budgets/forecasts, Board packs and alike. You will very much be the de facto FD with oversight for everything non revenue generating across the business, supported in your role by two junior accountants. The role will also include direct contact with LPs as well as portfolio FDs and CFOs, in terms of supporting ad hoc queries and requests. The Partners will also be expecting you to be their trusted advisor and expert on a raft of financial, commercial and strategic decisions. As such you need to be comfortable being in this sort of specialist but generalist role with the opportunity to work towards becoming the FD in a short space of time.
The ideal candidate must be an entrepreneurial, results-oriented team member with good analytical and communication skills and an energetic, hardworking, and can-do attitude. The ideal profile would be someone from a similar all-round role in a smaller to medium sized fund, with experiences across all aspects of finance, operations, deal support, tax, investor relations, compliance and alike. You could potentially be someone looking for your first step up into the number 1 role for example. Fluency in either French or Italian would be a massive bonus but is by no means essential.
Salary on offer is £100k base give or take plus exceptional bonus potential.
