Established Financial Services firm based in the City is looking to expand their Technology function and due to this they now require someone to Head up the Infrastructure and Security operations.
The client has office across the UK and US providing niche solutions to global funds whilst managing in excess of £30BN is asset funds across EMEA and the US.
The business has an MSP partner managing most of the technology so they now require a Head of IT to manage Infrastructure and Cyber Security internally for the client, a key part of this role will be to manage the MSP/ 3rd party vendor covering all aspects of IT, you will be also be working with senior stakeholders in the business to deliver plans/ proposals and explain how modern way of working IT will benefit the business.
The company operates a full Microsoft stack suite across the board and will be moving their projects into the Cloud using Azure, also you will be involved in helping the business roll out Office 365, EUC operations.
Stakeholder management is a critical part of this role so you must be used to dealing with C level partners on a regular basis.
Must come from a strong Infrastructure background with technical knowledge in:
Active Directory/ Exchange/ DNS/ DHCP/ Office 365/ Azure
Ideal candidate:
- Comes from a Technical/ IT background but now working in a more operational/strategic role
- Someone who has managed 3rd party vendors/ MSP
- Solid stakeholder experience
- Exposure of delivering projects into the Cloud (Azure or AWS)
- Experience of delivering migration projects into modern way of working/ Office 365
- Ideally from an Insurance/ Financial Services background
