Job Description

My client is seeking an experienced actuary to assist in driving the implementation of IFRS17 (IFRS4 Phase II) across the Actuarial and Risk Analytics function of a global business. 

Reporting directly into the Chief Actuary, you will work with the central project team to execute the common global elements of this phased approach, before working with other countries to roll out globally. 

Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop optimal methodologies for implementing global policies and standards
  • Work with central model build team to design and build actuarial model enhancements 
  • Ensure IRFS17 actuarial models comply with risk requirements both current and future
  • Understand and interpret regulation, and to facilitate discussion with the various insurance entities within the group. 

Suitable candidates will be experienced life actuaries (FIA/FSA or equivalent) with a solid understanding of the global financial reporting environment and the challenges posed to it. Strong Excel skills are essential, ideally with knowledge of VBA. Ability to speak Spanish, French, Cantonese or Mandarin would be an advantage.
