IT Service Continuity Manager

Guildford, Hybrid (depending on client's needs)

£85,000

My client is one of the biggest insurance companies in the world that is working with huge international projects in a highly regulated environment. The company is going through a big transformation and as part of the growth are continuing to expand their "Best in industry" team. They are looking for an IT Service Continuity Manager to drive continuous improvement within the ITSCM function.

The successful IT Service Continuity Manager will:

  • Mitigate the risk of disaster to an acceptable level by ensuring IT systems can be recovered to agreed SLA's
  • Ensure regular testing is carried out to assess the effectiveness of controls that are in place
  • Ensure continuity requirements and resources are regularly reviewed and assessed to be able to apply most appropriate and up to date techniques and mechanisms
  • Promote new technology capabilities to advance capacity to recover efficiently from disasters
  • Ensure that all client's IT personnel who are involved in incidents are aware of their responsibilities and the importance of following techniques/processes in place
  • Create cost- effective and acceptable continuity mechanisms that meet business continuity objectives

The ideal IT Service Continuity Manager will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Understanding of the risk management process to be able to effectively lead and monitor it
  • Understanding of the IT architecture, infrastructure and systems
  • Ability to build and manage relationships within as well as outside of the company
  • Demonstrating excellent communication skills by being empathetic, diplomatic and approachable
