This boutique global specialist (re)insurance broker, who focus on provide providing superior solutions to their expanding corporate client base are seeking a seasoned KYC/Client boarding professional with prior experience working with complex global clients.

Joining an established and growing Onboarding KYC team your focus will be on the effective execution of the due diligence process. Working with Brokers, Legal and Compliance, the team coordinates the timely completion of Trading Partners' onboarding. The effective execution of the due diligence process for relies on the coordination between the Onboarding KYC team and onboarding related stakeholders within the firm and with the client

The primary role of an Onboarding KYC Analyst is to be responsible for multi-jurisdiction client onboardings and focusing on the review of the Trading Partner profile in the context of potential associated risks to assess and understand the level of AML risk.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review the Trading Partner Information in comparison to the documentation provided and perform Due Diligence
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise within the KYC team and on issues escalated by the broker, by providing advice, including an indication of the potential for significant risk in an appropriate time frame.
  • Be a Broker facing, single point of contact responsible for the end-to-end Trading Partner onboarding experience and satisfaction for global and complex requests which include but is not limited to assist with TOBA management.
  • Collaboration with the client and Broking team to develop and execute an implementation plan, establishing clear expectations and providing transparency of timelines
  • Focus primarily on Onboarding approval workflow and ensure timely completion of records.
  • Confirm all reputational risk information, including information relating to sanctions, bribery, corruption, and AML has been initially assessed and analysed by the relevant Business or Compliance.
  • Develop recommendations to improve any processes within an KYC review and submit these to management.
  • Conduct verbal verifications of client, intermediary and market bank account details
  • Support management with provision of accurate weekly and monthly metrics if requested.
  • Providing support and development to colleagues
  • Utilise creative problem solving and solid decision-making abilities
  • Manage onboarding activities with internal business partners
  • Liaise with local Compliance, Legal and Market Security Committee where required
  • Adherence to policy and procedures, and international and domestic regulatory requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge, understanding and experience in the application of KYC/EDD requirements.
  • Significant relevant work experience in financial services, preferably the insurance industry
  • Proactive, organised, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to multi-task and complete projects on time.
  • Understanding appropriate escalation and follow-up methods when potential AML risk is identified.
  • Ability to independently refer to policies and procedures and put into context with regards to this role.
  • Excellent communication skills, across all platforms, with the ability to adapt to the needs of different colleagues, stakeholder, and clients
  • Exceptional level of time management skills to be able to proactively manage workload effectively to complete complex and high priority tasks within target timescales
  • Solid stakeholder management skills and experience of working with key stakeholders
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of TOBA - desirable
