Eames Consulting are working closely with a Global Insurance broker who are looking to hire into their London based LatAm Treaty Reinsurance Team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop in the Treaty Reinsurance markets and gain exposure to a strong portfolio of clients.
To be considered you MUST speak fluent Spanish and you MUST have experience in one of the following two markets;
1) Treaty Reinsurance (either LatAm or other global territories), either broking or underwriting
2) LatAm Property Insurance, either direct, fac or binders, either broking or underwriting
If you have the above then please read on;
This role sits within a large and well established team in the market and would suit someone with 2-5yrs experience in one of those areas. You will be fully trained on any gaps in your knowledge (providing you already have one of the two above) and will be integrated into the team. The business that this client deals with is a mix of wholesale, originated by their teams in Miami and locally in South America, and Retail, originated directly. The risks are predominantly Property Treaty, however there will also be some non-property risks which could include; Life Treaty, Surety Treaty, Motor Treaty, etc.
The team themselves work very closely with both their local counterparts and the client to provide the best possible market solutions. You will be responsible for structuring and pricing the placement in co-ordination with the actuarial and modelling teams, liaising with the insurers in both London and on the Continent. Managing the process for both renewals and new opportunities through to bind and working closely with the Senior Brokers / Account Executives.
As your experience and expertise develops there is opportunity to progress through the division either within technical or client facing routes.
