Eames is currently partnered with a London Markets Insurance firm who are looking for a Lead Data Architect to build a first-in-class team and deliver a new Azure Data Platform.
This is part of a 3-year programme. The new platform will support several priority solutions/services, will be profit-generating and will utilise modern technologies and machine learning.
They are based in London and offer hybrid working, a circa £130,000 basic salary and a max compensation of circa £200,000.
In this role, you will:
- Define best practices pertaining to design and data integrations to ensure a consistent approach.
- Define the data strategy and champion data architecture across the business, acting as the go-to SME.
- Build a market-leading Data Architecture team. Initially, you will manage 1 direct report.
- Work with different department heads to ensure an integrated and collaborative delivery approach.
The successful candidate will likely have:
- Previous experience working as a Data Architect
- Knowledge of commercial insurance
- Experience modelling modern data structures (E.g., Data Lake Houses)
- Expert knowledge of MS Azure, including tools like Data Factory, Data Bricks, Synapse, Fabric, etc.
