QA Engineer
100% remote
You will be responsible for:
- Learning the product thoroughly to be able to understand and engage with problems effectively
- Reviewing and analyse specifications ensuring a thorough understanding of the business and technical requirements
- Working closely with the developers and product owners to discuss and validate functional and technical requirements, then create and maintain the applicable test coverage, ensuring quality is built into the product in the first place
- Writing test plans and liaise with QA Leads for review and feedback prior to publishing readiness for testing
- Liaising with QA Analysts and QA Leads to produce logical sets of prioritised test breakdowns, assessing resource requirements and deadlines for test executions
- Identifying valid test conditions, design and document relevant test scenarios and cases which will effectively and comprehensively exercise the software
- Manually testing new features and regression elements, and identify candidates for automation
- Helping to facilitate the automation of test packs and work with business functions to help provide sign off on automation tests
- Providing hands-on support to help develop, maintain, and execute Automation test libraries
- Participating in all the agile ceremonies in accordance with the company practices
- Setting up and configure test environments in readiness for test activities, including test data.
- Supporting the delivery teams by testing defect fixes, new features, and regressions, in line with the test plan and delivery schedule
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience with cross-browser issues and strategies for cross-browser testing
- SQL and database-driven applications - hands-on experience with test data creation, SQL scripts, queries
- Linux terminal - experience running a web application locally, specifically using Docker
- Automation testing tools (Selenium, Java/Groovy, Cucumber, and similar)
