Our client has a proven track record in writing a profitable long-term book of medical malpractice business. The book is focussed on international business (excluding US) and will suit someone who is already underwriting or broking in this class of business. The team is currently made up of 4 people and this hire will complement the existing "number 2". The book is fairly large and 40% is binders but the rest is open market and typically the new hire will be focusing on open market business with premiums averaging £10k-£100k. The business can be written on syndicate or company paper, and it emanates from a wide range of countries but predominantly UK, France, South Africa, Italy and Canada. This is a great opportunity to gain experience from leaders in this class and it will suit candidates from either a broking or underwriting background as long as they have international medical malpractice experience.
