Job summary:
The position is embedded within a key banking division, reporting into Global MI Team with responsibilities to;
- Develop and refine MI/reporting services and solutions on an ongoing basis
- Responsible for rolling out MI and reporting solutions to key stakeholders and Exec team
- Supporting key decision activities within the finance team
Key responsibilities:
Global MI and reporting;
- Under guidance from the line manager, deploy up to date and relevant practices and techniques to support Distribution’s MI and reporting needs, spanning:
- Requirements capture and analysis
- Data analysis
- Report development (using group tools and best practice)
- Report testing and rollout
- Ensure effective and collaborative liaison with key stakeholders and Exec team
Data Insights & Analytics;
- Providing data insights: interrogate, analyse and join distribution data
- Work with the management information and reporting team to deliver insights to a broad range of internal customers and Exec team
Competencies & Experience
- Experience from banking sector in MI role
- Experience in the deployment of MI and reporting solutions
- Experience with performance reports
- Strong MS Excel (recording macros) and MS Access
- Good interpersonal and communication skills – capable of interacting confidently at all levels and to senior stakeholders
- Highly numerate with a good attention to detail
- Proven logical thinker and creative problem solver
- Proven track record of delivering under pressure
- Data analytics experience and experience working with large data sets
