Job summary

The position is embedded within the operational risk function with key responsibilities to;

  • Building out the reporting, analytics and insights solutions and capabilities (working with key partners and liaising with dependent projects were necessary)
  • Responsible for rolling out MI and reporting solutions to key stakeholders and Exec team
  • Develop and refine MI and reporting services and solutions on an ongoing basis
  • Supporting key decision activities within the risk function

Key responsibilities:
 
Global MI and reporting;

  • Under guidance from the line manager, build and deploy up to date and relevant practices and techniques to support distribution’s MI and reporting needs, spanning:  
  • Requirements capture and analysis
  • Data analysis 
  • Report development (using group tools and best practice)
  • Report testing and rollout
  • Ensure effective and collaborative liaison with key stakeholders and Exec team

Data Insights & Analytics;

  • Providing data insights: interrogate, analyse and join distribution data, which currently exists in various systems to gain insights currently unavailable to management.
  • Design and creation of prototype self-service analytical tools and dashboards, ad-hoc analysis reports and presentations.
  • Work with the management information and reporting team to deliver insights to a broad range of internal customers and Exec team  

Competencies & experience

  • Experience from banking sector
  • Strong risk framework knowledge and RCA
  • Experience in the development and deployment of MI and reporting solutions
  • Excellent visualisation and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills – capable of interacting confidently at all levels and to senior stakeholders
  • Highly numerate with a good attention to detail 
  • Proven logical thinker and creative problem solver
  • Proven track record of delivering under pressure
  • Data analytics experience and experience working with large data sets
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
