Job Description

A leading bank is searching for a qualified accountant to join their London desk across their planning & stress testing function. This role has been created through an expansion of the desk and supports the Group Planning and Stress Testing Team Process, Governance and Reporting requirements covering Regulatory and Internal Stress testing and Planning exercises.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders across the Group on timelines and requirements for Planning & Stress Testing outputs
  • Prepare detailed stress testing & planning instructions and timelines for businesses, in consultation with different teams in Risk, Treasury and Finance
  • Coordinate planning and stress test activities and be one of key people in the team to identify & deliver process improvements
  • Responsible for consolidating key process metrics to provide Team Lead and Senior Management with a high level view of risks/challenges in the Group process
  • Support Aggregation of stress testing submissions from the businesses
  • Support the process of data reconciliations and data validations for Stress Testing & Planning and help businesses to resolve issues
  • Assist with review and challenge of stress testing results provided by the businesses
  • Support production of stress testing & planning analyses and presentations for senior management
  • Collate risk, capital and financial data from across the Group to support both internal and regulatory reporting requirements for stress testing & planning. Ensure data is accurate and appropriately reviewed and challenged
  • Work with businesses to ensure their stress testing & planning processes comply with Internal Data & Governance Policies
  • Ensure adequate documentation is in place for planning & stress testing processes and procedures
  • Maintaining adequate and effective controls around the data consolidation and aggregation processes
  • Work with Finance Change team to maintain and improve the Planning and Stress Testing Tools used for MTP/Annual Stress Testing

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant with post qualified experience in another Investment Bank
  • Strong experience within a Finance Governance role or Financial Control position
  • Excellent Academic Background – minimum 2:1 degree
  • Proven Experience of improving processes
