A London Market insurer is looking for a Portfolio Analyst to join their team, in order to support the analysis of the portfolio of Syndicate investments, overall London Market profile and of the London Reinsurance Market.
The responsibilities of this role will include the, analysing portfolios in order to identify areas of strength and weakness for each syndicate, maintaining and improving the data capture system as well as partaking in quarterly monitoring of the performance of the portfolio.
Strong communication skills are required as the candidate will often engage with and support various teams, such as the Pricing, Reserving, Cat Risk, Financial, Legal and Underwriting teams.
The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills and analytic ability, having skills in VBA, Excel and programming (such as SQL, R, Python, Java, C++). A degree in a mathematical and/or analytic discipline is desired, however, non-graduates with relevant experience will be considered.
