A top tier bank is looking to appoint an experienced data privacy professional into the data privacy team. The company are a market leading, vibrant employer with a global presence and a solid track record of internal progression and promotion.
The role will be require to support, oversee and manage the data privacy activities affecting different business lines as well as ensuring adherence to the data privacy laws and regulations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing UK second line of defence oversight of key operations and technology, compliance and functions (including HR) stakeholder relations that play an important role in providing Data Privacy coverage
- Providing oversight of Group functions to ensure there is effective consideration of Data Privacy Compliance issues
- Work closely with different business lines and provide assurance of Data Privacy compliance and fulfilling regulatory requirements in respect of the GDPR, and equivalent regulation.
- Assist the Senior Privacy Manager in managing the DPO mailbox, and hard copy communications received by the DPO to meet regulatory requirements under the GDPR, as well as in the wide-ranging internal and external reporting requirements in respect of privacy risks and controls.
- Provide flexible additional support to Data Privacy teams, as appropriate, particularly in respect of oversight of GDPR day 2 activities, and oversight of the GDPR Operations team.
Your background:
- Sound knowledge of data protection law and practices and experience in building strong relationships with stakeholders to support regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge and experience of data protection law and practices
- Strong relationship management skills
- Can work well in a team
- Data Protection qualifications (eg IAPP/ISEB/PDP)
- Experience in a Compliance role
- Experience in reporting and governance
Salary on offer is £60-£65,000 depending on experience plus benefits and a good target bonus.
