Our client is a large multinational Insurer. They require a Property Underwriter to write new business and renewals on a large account of Property excess of loss business, written via London Market Brokers. Predominantly broker facing, the role consists of writing a wide portfolio of property, energy, power and other technical lines.
Key responsibilities will be to produce new and renewal business within delegated authority to achieve set targets, building and maintaining good knowledge and relationships with our current and potential brokers/clients, managing aggregates / reporting and various other duties. The role will be situated at Lloyd's and will require occasional overseas travel.
To be considered for the role, candidates will need to have experience as an Underwriter or as an Assistant Underwriter. All candidates will need a good standard of general education (including standard grades / GCSEs / Highers / A-levels or equivalent), and will ideally be making progress towards ACII. Experience of underwriting international property business with a network of broker contacts in the international property market is a significant advantage.
