Job Description

Our successful insurance broking client is building out its risk assurance capability with the creation of a new role in Quality Assurance. The role will require experience of the specialty insurance market gained ideally within insurance broking.

As it is a newly created role in a growing business, you will have the opportunity to build from scratch a QA function which reviews sample placement and claims files against company and industry best practice to ensure that risks are controlled and reporting findings back to the business. In time, this will develop into the business having some responsibility for self-certification with oversight by the QA Lead.

You will work closely with senior figures in Business Risk, Internal Audit, Ops and Legal to ensure that the QA plan reflects the needs and expectations of the wider business and as such you will need to display judgement and be able to influence senior stakeholders and be credible when discussing the subject matter.

The technical skills required in the role are most likely to have been gained by people with direct insurance placement experience. Technical broking skills along with Wordings experience would be an attractive combination but we are keen to talk to broking specialists who feel their skills would lend themselves to an oversight and review role in a Specialty Insurance Broking environment.

There is some flexibility with the way this role is structured but 3 days per week is certainly a possibility for those seeking a part time role with professional challenge and financial reward. The company has navigated lockdown with considerable success and is ahead of year to date targets. Joining a firm in a strong cash position and in growth mode will come as a relief in a market which is not exuding confidence right now.
