An exciting opportunity based in Beijing, China to join a multinational Reinsurers' newly set-up team to focus on their growth into the Medical/Health sector. They currently have teams based in Singapore and India and are looking to create a new team in China.
What the role entails:
- Provide Product Innovation and Product Development; technical & pricing support to the various local offices on medical quotes.
- Maintain and upload documentation of all pricing work, and ensure compliance with costing guidelines and standards
- Experience analyses of existing business and new business opportunities
- Contribute to the development of generic pricing bases and pricing software.
- Groom and develop young actuaries within the team
- Monitor local market intelligence, trends and developments (company, product, industry)
- Participate in industry bodies and maintain up to date knowledge in actuarial field
What they are looking for:
- Maintain up to date knowledge of local and global actuarial practices and trends
- Actuarial Qualifications (FSA, FIA, FIAA)
- At least 10 years of experience with 3-5 years PQE
- Proven experience in working in the China markets with strong understanding of the actuarial principles and Insurance landscape
- Product knowledge across traditional Life, Health, Protection and Medical would be ideal
- Familiarity with tools such as SAS, VBA, Prophet / Moses / Axis
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Mandarin
- Ability to develop strong relationships with C-suite levels and has strong stakeholder management skills
