Job Description

I am currently working with a leading top tier bank on a niche, regulatory compliance opportunity. My client is a well-known bank and this role is based in the North West in their stunning office in the Greater Manchester region. The role will report to the head of regulatory insight, whilst working collaboratively with key stakeholders in compliance and across the wider business areas.

The primary responsibility of the role is to analyse and interpret new regulations, to ensure that the UK business is operating in accordance to these changes and then assessing the potential impact on the bank’s products, functions and services. It will also include documenting the regulatory requirements, identifying the key accountability and change delivery holders and conducting traceability mapping in order to provide an auditable view of how the business is developing its control frameworks to ensure ongoing compliance with regulation.

In order to be successful in this role you will have to be a confident, analytical character that is passionate about regulation and someone who has an adequate level of exposure to various banking products, financial regulations and working cross-business.

The role would suit an individual from a peer, banking firm or even consultancy where they have demonstrated extensive regulatory analysis work for varied and complex regulations in an unstructured environment. You will ideally have experience in identifying new and changes to existing regulations, business controls design and change management experience and an ability to interact with all varying types of stakeholders.

Compliance is a crucial part to this bank and this role requires a driven candidate who can support the business in staying above board in this ever-changing, regulatory landscape.
