Our client is a large (re)insurance broker with a team covering a range of multi-faceted products across property, casualty and specialty lines. The business is pro rata reinsurance, XoL and treaties for large facilities, structured products, parametric and anything esoteric. The existing team are extremely keen to hire someone with experience of reinsurance wordings and contracts to be the main focal point for all emails and documentation that leaves the office. The successful candidate will need to understand reinsurance business and the technical aspects of wordings and claims / contracts. A legal background is not a pre-requisite but of course this may help. Just as important are the characteristics of the individual. I.e. the successful candidate will need to be diligent, hardworking and be able to communicate effectively with clients. Candidates will need to have pro rata RI skills and an understanding of binding authorities, account management and consortiums etc.
