Job Description

A Relationship Manager role has arisen within a global banking group based in London. This bank are a sought after employer due to their strong reputation and capital banking

Key duties are as follows:

  • To market to existing/potential clients the products and services offered by the bank
  • To persuade Financial Institutions to place their clearing and other needs into the care of the bank
  • To work with Treasury, Corporate Banking or other departments within the bank as well as group to cross sell new business
  • To investigate and assess financial markets
  • To work with the AML/KYC team to make sure the client information is in line with KYC requirements, looking at the risk areas within the financial institutions to make sure they are compliant with KYC policy and assist KYC officers to get a better understanding of the businesses
  • To conduct annual reviews on credit risk and KYC/AML risk for the financial institutions and the facilities they have
  • To identify, assess, mitigate/manage and monitor all risks arising within your role in accordance with the first line of defence responsibilities detailed in the Joint Risk Management & Compliance Framework
  • To maintain up to date knowledge of all policies and procedures relevant to your role and to complete all banks training issued by Compliance within prescribed timeframes
  • To prepare credit rating/application/renew for the credit committee's approval
  • To communicate solutions to customer problems effectively
  • To provide management information on a regular and as-and-when needed basis

The ideal candidate will match the following description

  • Degree in finance, business administration and marketing
  • Wide-ranging commercial awareness and product knowledge is essential
  • Relevant financial institutional sales experience
  • At least 5 years' experiences in the banking industry
  • Intergroup cross selling experience
  • Customer-minded, motivated, committed and presentable
  • Must be a team player capable of working across departmental boundaries
  • Compliance and Regulation conversant
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • An emerging market angle is preferred
