A leading reinsurer is looking for a qualified actuary to join their growing actuarial function in Zurich. This will report into the SVP and focus on reserving duties as well as implementing the IFRS17 framework.
The ideal candidate will be qualified and have extensive reserving experience in either reinsurance or the London Market. Knowledge of capital modelling is not required but would be helpful to the role. English is the only language needed for this role but any knowledge of German or other languages would be an advantage. This will involve lots of interaction with multiple teams in the business including the underwriters and therefore excellent communication skills are essential.
The role represents an excellent opportunity for an actuary based in either Switzerland or the UK to gain great exposure to the reinsurance market and have plenty of room for upward progression.
