Our client is an InsurTech business based in London who are committed to modelling maritime risks and assisting a wide range of Insurance organisations to assess these risks and anticipate impactful events. The technology is can be applied to enable actuaries to build models which accurately quantify risk, which in turn helps the underwriters reduce losses and increase profits.

As the Sales Director you will be part of a team based in London that are responsible for a portfolio of challenging and varied marine insurance customers requiring 'hands-on' relationship building to assist them with all aspects of their maritime data analytics requirements. A key part of the role will be targeting and developing new business as well as guiding existing clients through licensing renewals with a view to upselling other services. There is a particular emphasis on the London and European Insurance markets.

The role requires someone who is tenacious and robust in respect of targeting new business and securing qualified leads. It is essential that the successful candidate can develop strong long term relationships with customers, understand their analytics needs from a Marine perspective and help to grow an existing client portfolio by identifying new opportunities from existing customers.

Maritime Industry and/or marine insurance experience is essential, as is a good working knowledge and understanding of the International insurance markets. A proven track record of delivering excellent client service and growth of a portfolio of business is key to this role. The role may suit a Broker or possibly an Underwriter who is familiar with the Marine Insurance markets. A competitive basic salary plus a commission for sales converted and other benefits are also available.
