My client is one of the leading reinsurance providers and has a strong foothold within the APAC region. This is an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to work closely with the Head of Finance and to manage all the reporting requirements for Singapore and Labuan.
Responsibilities:
You will be working closely with the Head of Finance (based in Singapore) and be responsible for:
- Managing the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
- Assisting with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements – for Singapore and Labuan
- Assisting with Tax related activities to ensure the corporate tax/ GST requirements are met in an accurate and timely manner
- Identifying and supporting Finance process improvements; and participate in regional transformation projects
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant Finance/ Accounting experience within the Insurance industry (open to Big 4 candidates with Insurance industry exposure)
- Degree in Accountancy/ Finance or other relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA
- Familiarity with MAS and Labuan FSA regulatory reporting requirements
- Good communication skills with the ability to work independently
