As Senior Agile Coach you will empower teams and leadership to adopt Agile as a culture shift by coaching on Agile frameworks, practices and principles. You will drive Agile awareness, mindset, capability and guide teams and the organization in their adoption of Agile values, mindset, principles and techniques. You will also drive and coach initiatives to improve business outcomes in a highly complex environment while creating a highly collaborative, learning organization. Your tasks will also include providing the environment for teams to find solutions and embrace ideas that help grow our business. You will build, guide and grow the Agile Community of Practice and bring best practices from the worldwide Agile community into the organisation and vice-versa. You will partner with other leaders to define and implement improvement processes at organizational, portfolio and program level. All in all you will enable the organization's ability to rapidly respond to upcoming challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and promote the implementation of the Agile adoption across teams and the organisation
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify and resolve organisational impediments and barriers on program and portfolio levels and actively advocate for resolution
  • Design and develop Agile processes and practices and ensure that they enable teams or departments to operate in an integrative and collaborative fashion
  • Influence leadership on the culture change required to shift from a traditional to an agile mindset
  • Provide guidance and coaching to create a culture of collaboration and learning using Agile values, mindset, principles, and practices
  • Help to develop new intellectual property such as workshops and training classes

Additional Responsibilities

  • Act as a Change Agent and as part of the team leading and supporting teams and individuals in their Agile and Lean
  • Execute Agile organizational and team maturity assessments, identify improvement areas and develop coaching and training plans accordingly
  • Train, mentor and coach individuals and Agile teams / roles
  • Facilitate events to identify and drive opportunities for Agile transformation at all levels in the organization

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Degree in Business Administration or similar with 5-8 years of business experience
  • Certification as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM), Product Owner, or Release Train Engineer
  • 5+ years of experience as an Agile Coach or Scrum Master in an Agile delivery role for a team that was diligently applying Agile and Scrum principles, practices, and theory
  • Extraordinary abilities to communicate the value of Agile mindset and principles at all levels of the organization
  • Deep expertise in developing others, ideally with leadership experience
  • Expertise in change management
  • Advanced experience in coaching teams on several levels in agile adoption and common Agile frameworks
  • Excellent training, moderation, and facilitation skills
  • Display strong influence and communication skills in order to achieve alignment across the organization on all levels
  • Analytical mindset, strong ability to solve problems, metrics-driven and detail-oriented
  • You embrace Agile ways of working and engage in constant learning to adapt to different customer needs
  • Positive attitude paired with a good portion of curiosity and a customer-centric service attitude
  • Fluent English is required. Additional languages are a plus.

Additional Skills

  • Experience in driving cross-functional initiatives, Agile project management
  • Proven track of record in cross-cultural and international work
  • Good understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group allowing for cross-departmental thinking and acting
  • Proactivity and ability to drive topics forward with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Growth mindset through ongoing personal and professional development
  • Constantly keeping up with latest agile trends and tools as well as driving continuous improvement within the organization
  • Good quality management and risk management skills
  • Experience working with the SAFe framework and accompanying certifications are nice-to-have
