Leading financial services organisation is seeking a seasoned insurance audit professional to beocme an integral part of their growing team. With a focus on Hong Kong, Singapore and China you will will be solution-orientated in your approach and demonstrate strong leadership capabilities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Development of the annual audit plan and supports completion of the plan.
  • Leads the preparation of and prepares individual audit plans to ensure that the scope, approach, resourcing and logistics of an audit are appropriately planned.
  • Obtains, analyses and syntheses information for identifying weaknesses and reporting on the adequacy of the internal control environment. 
  • Grades the materiality of audit findings, identifies root causes and assesses the overall control risk and management awareness within the auditee business.
  • Identifies business process improvements for segments audited as appropriate.
  • Work effectively with multiple stake holders such as business management, wider audit function and control functions including compliance, risk management.

Requirements:

  • Proven and progressive audit, business, or accounting experience or equivalent.
  • Qualification in business, accounting, finance, related field or equivalent experience, professional certification.
  • Strong managerial skills, written and verbal communication skills, analytical, problem solving, organizational, lateral thinking and interpersonal skills.
  • Broad knowledge of financial services industry, business supported and the regulatory framework they operate in.
  • In depth understanding of the business, risks and related controls within areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to apply technology or expertise to business issues or operational problems.
  • Willingness to travel.
