My Client is an award winning financial services organisation who are embarking on an exciting period of gowth. They are looking to hire and experianced Business Analyst to join their IT team with a passion for Cloud/Data

The experienced Business Analyst shouldn have experiance Developing, coaching and mentoring a team of SME's into effective Business Analysts.

Key Requirements

  • Line management responsibilities for team of Business Analysts; 1-2-1's, providing regular feedback, supporting, coaching, mentoring, objective setting, developing training plans etc
  • Helping the business to articulate their need for change and translate that into tangible requirements
  • Ability to work with both waterfall and agile requirement gathering processes creating BRD's, DevOps Epics or other forms of documentation
  • Working with the technical teams to design a solution that meets the business requirements, whether that's off the shelf or developed in house
  • Working with the Systems Architect to ensure the solution fits with the architectural roadmap and meets the functional requirements
  • Working with developers to ensure they understand the requirements
  • Working with testers to ensure they understand what they should be testing
  • Supporting business areas through the vendor selection process and ensuring the software meets the business requirements

Key Skills

  • Experience of both waterfall and an agile project methodologies
  • Able to create feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis, and write business cases
  • Familiarity with techniques which help in modelling and understanding a business and its operation including process modelling and gap analysis
  • Use of a range of tools and techniques which can be used to document and understanding of the structure, relationships and use of information within an organisation
  • Eliciting, prioritizing and documentation requirements including MoSCoW, uses cases and user stories, developing acceptance criteria and facilitating workshops
  • Experience in agile techniques such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint estimation
  • Supporting the creation of test scripts, scenario and cases including facilitating testing
  • Experience in creating a proof of concept, wireframes or prototyping exercise to demonstrate or evaluate the feasibility and potential benefits of applying a technology, product or toolset to meet a business need
  • A good understanding of UI/UX best practises
  • Knowledge of banking systems
  • Knowledge of cloud-based software and application integration via API's
  • Knowledge of BI/MI/Data warehouse
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications including MS Dynamics CRM
  • Able to influence stakeholders and manage relationships effectively
  • Understanding of regulatory change and how it impacts businesses
  • Ability to identify and explore opportunities for service and business improvement
