Senior Data Scientist / Actuary - General Insurance
Up to £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits
A leading general insurer in London is looking to hire a Data Scientist and/or Actuary into their growing analytics function. Reporting into the Head of Data Science, your role will be focused on better usage of internal and external data and bringing this data into the wider insurance business in meaningful ways.
The ideal candidate will be either a qualified actuary with a passion for data science, or a data scientist with existing insurance experience. Study-support is on offer or the role, as it support for other external qualifications (if you want it). Strong programming/coding skills are hugely advantageous for the role - ideally you will be a strong user of one or more of the following: R, Python, VBA, C, SQL, Tableau/Power BI.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to focus on data science, but still feel part of the wider analytics team. You can have exposure into the more traditional actuarial functions (if you want) and will work with a range of teams internally and externally.
