Our client is a large global insurer and reinsurer who are looking to hire a Facultative Property Underwriter. They currently write a large worldwide book with a global P&L and the book written from London is diverse in terms of it's geographical scope containing US, Canadian, UK & International business.
The London team consists of 4 existing underwriters and the structure is relatively flat with a strong team environment. The role is a mix of underwriting and client interaction working directly with clients and brokers. The role will require a strong technical underwriter who can analyse analyse and assess Property submissions in respect of coverage and risk hazards, determining capacity to deploy and offering proposals for lead or follow business. Equally important is someone who can meet broker's and visit cedants whilst developing relationships with individual client contacts.
It is expected that the successful candidate will have at least 5 years' experience within facultative property, whilst also bringing existing relationships to the table. A very competitive basic salary, bonus and other incentives are on offer.
