Job Description

Our client, a specialist insurer based in the City of London is currently looking to strengthen their team and seek a senior finance business partner. The position will be provide support to the head of decision support and will provide the opportunity to manage a small team. The business is rapidly growing and offers a great career progression path.

The role:

As part of this team you will act at the key point of contact to bridge the gap across finance and the wider business managing strategic plans and cost bases. The role is MI led and will focus upon the reporting and analysis of the different departments across the business and support selected teams from an operational perspective. You will be involved in a number of projects across the business and will be expected to be able to influence and support with strategic decisions with a lot of interaction with senior management and board members. It is important to be able challenge and seek further improvements where there is the opportunity.

In addition you will play an instrumental part in the development of reporting systems and implementation of processes to ensure efficiency.

 

You must also fulfil the following:

  • Fully qualified accountant – ACA/ACCA/CIMA

  • Strong Lloyd’s/London market background

  • Ability to work proactively and strive to improve and make processes efficient

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong systems experience – advanced Excel and the ability to adapt to new systems

  • Experience of liaising with Underwriting teams

  • Ability to influence senior management and stand off to the business
