This is a newly created role supporting the APAC region and based in Singapore. You will support the Regional Financial Controller and the Business Heads by taking full ownership of all finance matters. You will be an individual contributor whose role will have a strong focus on business partnering, business planning and general corporate governance. A successful candidate will be happy to be hands on and roll sleeves up, in return you will benefit from full autonomy.
Responsibilities:
You will be managing all the finance activities in the APAC region and will be responsible for:
- Providing financial analysis and insights which enable critical decision making for senior business stakeholders
- Produce and report on monthly/ board reports and commentaries for senior managers
- Ensure reporting compliance with regulatory, group and accounting standards
- Ensure tax compliance in accordance with local tax regulations
- To improve the control framework over the preparation, reconciliation and review of all output prior to submission
- Liaise and manage communication with internal and external stakeholders (auditors, tax advisors, authority etc.) to ensure accurate and compliant reporting
- Partake in ad-hoc projects and surveys as and when assigned by key senior stakeholders
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Finance Manager/ Accountant capacity within the Tech/ Telecommunications industry
- A Qualified Accountant with a recognised university degree; ideally in Accounting/ Finance
- Strong understanding of financial, tax and regulatory reporting standards and requirements (good to have worked in a regional capacity)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and cope with pressure
