The fund is a UK headquartered house, with a collegiate, friendly and high performing culture; lots of year on year success stories and a highly regarded 'brand name' with significant AUM exceeding the £50bn AUM mark.
This role will have end to end responsibility for all corporate and group accounting across their UK entities, managing a small team and working closely with the Group FC, FD and COO.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting the results of 3 UK entities (2 corporates and 1 LLP)
- Cash management including cash flow analysis, banking arrangements etc
- Work with the FP&A Team to prepare the annual budget seeking input from strategy heads and maintain monthly forecasting
- Line management responsibility for 4 team members who cover all core monthly reporting/analysis
- Oversee the monthly payroll
- Contribute to the improvement of Finance systems, processes and policies
- Manage the annual financial audits & oversight on the preparation of the annual financial statements
- Liaise with the internal and external tax specialist on matters related to tax, with key focus on LLP
- Work with Compliance to keep ICARA up to date and monitor reg cap position
- Corporate governance of UK entities
Your background:
- Qualified accountant - ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent - and likely around the 10 years+ PQE mark with proven experience in a similar financial controller role
- Preferably a background in a buy side firm in asset and wealth management or alternative investments
- Advanced Excel skills; strong continuous process improvement mindset
- Good people skills with evidence of having managed teams in the past
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills and intellectual curiosity
- Proven business partner and comfortable supporting stakeholders across front, middle and back office
Salary on offer is in the region of £110-120k base plus benefits and exceptional bonus potential (30-40%+).
