An industry leading Insurance business operating within the London Market is currently looking to appoint a highly ambitious and forward thinking Senior FP&A Analyst/FP&A Manager to sit within their Group Finance team. This role involves offers excellent exposure as it requires regular interaction with the Board of Directors who sit within the same office.
This is a very well established business that has enjoyed continuous success and growth year on year. With recent private equity investment they are currently in the midst of expansion and are set to take their business to the next level. They have seen substantial headcount growth over the past 6 months and this is set to continue over the forthcoming years. Their expertise spans across specialty and generalist lines as well as niche and emerging markets.
The Senior FP&A Analyst/FP&A Manager role is new as a result of the expansion. It presents a unique opportunity for the right individual to shape the future of the FP&A function. As FP&A Manager you will work to enhance forward financial planning, and support continued growth within the business through objective financial analysis. You will assist the CFO and Group Financial Controller with the design and production of forward looking data such as forecasts, budgets and analysis for the support of key business decisions.
The ideal candidate for this role will closely meet the following description:
- Qualified Accountant with a strong academic record
- Appropriate level of experience working in a FP&A capacity, preferably within a private equity backed business
- Prior insurance industry experience - strongly preferred
- Ability and confidence to present financial information, in person, to the Board of Directors
- Big 4 / external audit foundation is highly desirable
- Exceptional analytical skills with a genuine passion for financials
- Solid FP&A background (strong budgeting/forecasting/financial modelling skills)
- Advanced MS Excel and financial modelling skills
- Experienced in reviewing financial information to identify data anomalies/trends/deviations
- Ability to simplify and present complex financial information to senior management to support business decisions
