My client, a large multi-national financial services institution, is looking for a legal entity controller to join their team. The role is based in London and is paying £75,000 for the right candidate.
You will be reporting into the legal entity control manager and be primarily responsible for the financial reporting of the European business. You will also be involved in reviewing the month and year-end financial statutory accounts, assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process, as well as preparing ad hoc reports for the board and senior management. As part of the role, you will liaise with the external auditors as well as group reporting in the US and other local functional departments such as tax, treasury front/middle office, regulatory reporting and Legal.
As the ideal candidate for the role, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with prior legal entity reporting experience in a financial services environment. You will also have a strong academic background and solid understanding of UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS. As you will be liaising with several senior stakeholders within and outside the business, your stakeholder management experience and gravitas will be essential for this role. Your systems experience with Oracle Financials, Hyperion Essbase, and Caseware will be looked upon favourably.
