Our client is looking for an underwriter with an established reputation within the French insurance market, writing either heavy industry property or onshore energy. The desired candidate will ideally have 5 years + experience of writing property/onshore energy and will have advanced knowledge of market wordings and clauses, reinsurance practices; up-to-date knowledge of claims activity and handling to inform future underwriting decisions and an overall appreciation of the global insurance and reinsurance market. The business can be written on a direct, re-insured, co-insured and fronting basis. The role will require fluent French and English to interact with the key brokers. The role is likely to be based in Lausanne, but other locations may be considered given the flexible way of working that companies now adopt.
