A leading financial markets bank are looking for a Senior Risk Assurance Manager to provide quality assurance, on a front to back basis over the trade life-cycle. The role sits as part of the Operational Risk team reporting to the Head of Risk Assurance.

Key responsibilities;

  • Provide assurance that trades have been executed in accordance with the bank's policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.

  • Maintaining an assurance framework that will be applied consistently to each Trade under review

  • Reviewing specific Trades on a front to back basis to ensure execution is in line with policy and approval conditions.

  • Reviewing all department documentation associated with the trade including Front Office, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Client On-boarding, IT and Finance.

  • Ensuring the results of all assurance reviews are fully documented, in accordance with agreed templates. If deficiencies are discovered, providing analysis of root cause and recommendations for remediation and future assurance activity.

  • Presenting the output of assurance review activity to key stakeholders, and submitting formal reporting on assurance review activity to relevant governance Committees.

  • Ensuring significant issues and key themes are considered during the annual RCSA process.

  • Identify, assess, monitor and report on the operational risks the bank faces.

Key skills;

  • Minimum seven years experience within an Investment Bank

  • Strong product knowledge with an understanding of the full trade life-cycle and process flows - experience in a front office function.

  • Understanding of risk and control, with the ability to apply expertise to detect and highlight potential issues with trade execution

  • Comfortable dealing with Senior Management and building relationships with a variety of stakeholders and partners

  • Strong written skills to communicate risks and recommendations clearly

  • Prior first line risk management experience
