Eames Consulting are partnering with a reinsurer to hire a Specialty Treaty Underwriter. You will assist in developing the underwriting strategy and portfolio, respecting the Syndicate Business Forecast, and profitability targets. The book consists of Terror, Political Risks and Political Violence, Crisis & War and the book is a large one, requiring good experience in these sub classes.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Class Underwriter in the development of long/short term strategy, and SBF for relevant class of business. Ensuring that the monitoring of underwriting activities, risk controls and compliance checks are in accordance with the Class of Business (COB) Guidelines. Assisting with managing and maintaining aggregate exposure management/ Realistic Disaster Scenario (RDS's) within the agreed limits.
It is essential that the successful candidate is enthusiastic and driven and can focusses on giving the brokers the best possible service. It is expected that you will have relationships with the reinsurance broking market to hit the ground running.
