A Surrey based top tier insurer is currently looking to add a Pricing Manager to their high performing team. This would be an ideal opportunity for an experienced Analyst to step up into a managing position, or for an existing manager seeking progression and new exposure.
The role will involve managing a team of up to 5 Analysts in the delivery of technical pricing activity across a number of products, providing second line review to model build whilst coaching and developing the wider team. The successful candidate will evidence a strong technical skill-set and be able to provide expert advice within risk pricing whilst also understanding the impact of the team on the performance of the products. Whilst previous management experience is not required, the successful candidate will have ideally led on projects and have some experience in mentoring/guiding others as well as being capable of dealing effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
This position will also offer considerable exposure to new techniques and technology, in particular to machine learning and new methods of predictive analytics. There will be an expectation to explore opportunities to improve current practice and ensure that the business embraces and fully utilises opportunities to develop technical capability/sophistication.
