My client has identified a need for an organised, proactive and tenacious individual to join them assisting with the planning, tracking and managing a portfolio of work that supports the firms risk and control mandate.

The role:

The primary purpose of this role is to embed, operationalise and track my client's technology risk and control procedures and controls.

Reporting into to the Director of Business Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for the successful closure and oversight of all technology risk items. This involved the co-ordination of all internal and external risk and control inspections and risk governance framework.

What you'll be doing:

  • Project managing streams of work that focus on manging and closing down risk and control related items and gaps relating to IT security and operations
  • Support standardization in risk management processes and procedures, and ensure adherence to company tools and applications
  • Organise and oversee risk & control assessments on IT processes
  • Provide oversight of IT risk and security requirements for 3rd party service providers to assure that IT risk and security requirements are being managed and assist on the coordinating investigation of IT security incidents
  • Coordinate all internal/external IT audit & regulatory inspections
  • Prepare reporting packs for the Risk management Committee (RMC) and act as secretariat at these meetings
  • Manage database of technology risk related improvement actions, assigning owners and managing items to closure.

You will be able to measure your success by quality of audits and reports, number of findings, as well as No. of outstanding, overdue technology risk actions and timeliness of observation closures

If you want to pursue a career in Technology Project Management, we don't mind too much what background you've come from. You will not need software development skills for this role. You may be working as a Junior Project Manager, Business Analyst, in a Support or Compliance role, the sort of skill we will likely be looking for as follows.

Required skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Firm understanding of project management
  • Experience working on projects in a commercial environment
  • Proficient with Excel and Powerpoint
  • Stakeholder management proficiency and experience
  • Strong analytical and thinking skills

  • Qualified to degree level
  • Solid project management experience
