Job purpose
Help manage the annual AIM (Asia Investment Management) planning and budgeting process to ensure the meeting of the overall Company financial goals
Prepare timely, accurate and comprehensive analysis of budgets and monthly/quarterly results and forecasts to support management decisions and ensure AIM expenses are on track
Act as a liaison with budget supervisors, business units and Corporate on AIM and intercompany expenses
Support AIM treasury functions, audits/taxes of AIM and related entities, such requests from the Hong Kong government as surveys on AIM expenses and special projects
Act as back up of the AIM payment operations
Accountabilities
Coordinate with FP&A on Investment Management initiatives and prepare budget guidelines; review budget submissions, support and follow up with budget supervisors; and prepare analysis to ensure budget meets overall financial goals
Coordinate with Accounting team, business units and help ensure entries are booked correctly, including accruals and intercompany charges
Prepare data for tax calculation and expense transfer to AIM / RO / Corporate
Perform monthly analysis of AIM results and expense projection and closely monitor the expense trend
Support the quarterly financial review meetings with functional leaders, Head of Entity and Asia President by preparing the required analysis
Support such treasury functions as cashflow forecasting and Corporate funding
Support audits and/or tax filings of RO and related entities and prepare information for such requests from the Hong Kong government as surveys on RO expenses
Assist in regional projects as required
Act as backup for RO payment operations which include vendor invoice verification, payment and voucher preparation and payment processing
Specialized knowledge
Solid accounting knowledge
Strong performance reporting experience
Computer skills particularly advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Knowledge about the operations of Sun accounting system or similar other accounting systems (e.g. Oracle)
Good presentation and interpersonal skills (strong stakeholder management skills)
Proficiency in spoken and spoken English
Capable of multitasking and working in cultural environment
Education
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
Qualified accountant with at least 6 years of relevant experience in Big4 accounting firm or asset management.
Preferably working experiences gained in Big Four accounting firms and/or sizable multinational companies
