Currently supporting a Canary Wharf based financial services firm seeking to recruit an individual to take responsibility for oversight of their UK & European payrolls.

The role has end-to-end oversight, including onboarding new starters, handling queries from a range of stakeholders, supporting on year end & administration of benefits. Therefore we require an individual to have previous In-House payroll experience

The position sits within the wider HR Group, and will benefit from support and training from colleagues & management. Key responsibilities as below

  • Support the day-to-day processing of allocated UK & European Payrolls - collating and uploading of all payroll adjustments into the payroll system for each region
  • Ensure all new starters are onboarded; and leavers are terminated on workday in a timely manner ahead of monthly payroll cut off
  • Support the preparation and submission of all statutory reporting documentation in each European country where a centralised payroll is run (e.g., P60's, P11D's, ERS reporting etc)
  • Ensure all new starters are added to, and leavers are removed from relevant company benefit schemes and ensure these feed through to payroll
  • Respond to payroll and benefit requests via email, chat or telephone inquiries in a timely and consistent manner
  • Respond to Payroll reporting requests, including (but not limited to) salary data, sickness absence records, holiday records, and bonus data etc.
  • Support the Finance department with all month-end and year-end Payroll reporting, including the collating and analysing of any relevant Payroll data

Experience Required

  • In House Payroll experience, minimum 3 years of end-to-end payroll management
  • Experience from inputting of payroll details through to HMRC interactions
  • Experience working with Workday highly beneficial, experience with large scale alternative would be considered (ADP, Moorepay etc)
  • CIPP active studier or qualified advantageous, the firm is willing to support study if required
  • Strong communication skills, in person & written - comfortable working with stakeholders across all levels
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise the highest level of discretion

Location - Canary Wharf

Team are on site minimum 4 days per week so requirement for new joiners to be aligned
